Bio:

Paulette Bowes, clarinetist, has been the Director of the All Newton Music School since 1986. In that time, she has developed numerous programs, including the summer creative arts program, music computer lab, rock department and greatly expanded the music therapy curriculum. During her tenure, All Newton Music School has experienced record student enrollment, fundraising initiatives and educational programming. Ms. Bowes has also presented some of the world’s finest musicians, including Yo-Yo Ma, Joseph Silverstein, Keith Lockhart, Russell Sherman, Doc Severinsen, and Peter Serkin, to name a few.


Ms. Bowes has a Masters of Music degree from New England Conservatory and a Bachelors of Music degree from the University of Maryland. Past teachers have included William Stubbins, Robert Genovese, William Wrzesien and Peter Hadcock. Prior to joining All Newton Music School, Ms. Bowes was the Chairman of the Wind Department at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School. Selected performance credits include two United States Opera tours with Boris Goldofsky, former second clarinet with Worcester Symphony under the direction of Joseph Silverstein performances with the Vermeer Quartet, Portland Quartet, and guest artist on many chamber music series.
