MUSIC EXPLORERS

 

Summer Music Explorers
AGES 5-9
Session I: July 3-July 14
Session II: July 17-July 28

Your Summer Music Explorer will be welcomed with open arms by our experienced professional music instructors and trained young adult counselors. Immerse your child in music, instruments, arts and crafts, outdoor games and musical theater classes each day. On the last two days of both sessions your Music Explorer, along with their new best friends, will showcase what they’ve learned. Family and friends will see each Music Explorer’s newly developed talents and celebrate their accomplishments while they play instruments, sing songs, and perform in a fully staged, costumed production.

Movement Warm-ups – Yoga
Music Class I – Singing and Movement or Instrument Class
Drama Class – Acting, Intro to set, props, and stage directions
Arts and Crafts Class

Outdoor Games
Musical Theatre – Choreography and Music Rehearsal
Music Class II – Singing and Movement or Instrument Class
Outdoor Games and Afternoon Snack
Closing Circle – Parents welcome to attend

Session I: July 3-July 14 – $500 (no program on 7/4)

Lower Explorers (ages 5-6)

ANMS strives to keep our instructor/counselor to student ratio at 1:5, ensuring each Music Explorer has a wonderful experience.

Rock Band
GRADES 6-12

Whether you’re in a band now, been in a band, or want to join a band for the first time, this is the Rock Week Immersion for you.

From the moment you walk in on Monday, to your performance in the LIVE concert on Thursday night, Summer Rockers will have experienced everything they need to know about what it takes to be in a rock band.

Classes Offered:
Theory and Song Writing for the Rock/Jazz Musician
Scheduled Band Rehearsals
Recording Technique
Rock and Jazz Music Appreciation
Intro to keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, or vocals*
*We encourage students to try different instruments.

Performance Opportunities:
Open Mic Sessions
Final LIVE Rock Performance
(will be recorded and shared with families)

Rock Band is offered to: Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Drums, Vocals, Electric Violin, Electric Cello, Brass, Woodwinds

Students with no rock band experience must have played their instrument for at least 2 years and be entering the 6th grade.

Hours: 11:00am – 4:00pm | Thursday performance 6:00pm
Session: Monday, June 26 – Thursday, June 29
Cost: $100* Includes pre-concert Pizza dinner on the final day

*The tuition for this program is subsidized by the Billy Kroner Ensemble Fund.
